Qusain has worked in the property and construction industry for over ten years in both project management and building surveying roles.
As a fully Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Qusain has always had an infatuation with the built environment and loves to see the positive impact his work has on people’s day-to-day life and wellbeing. His goal is always to improve building stock for the betterment of those using it, something he has found especially rewarding when working with school properties.
Qusain brings practical project management experience and technical management skills to integrated commercial fitouts, facility refurbishments and upgrades, estate rationalisations and general refurbishment schemes in both New Zealand and the UK. His previous roles include Project Team Leader at Baily Garner LLP Birmingham UK, where he managed a planned maintenance program for West Mercia and Warwickshire Police, spanning 100+ sites a year at a value of circa 2.5million pound. He has also worked on large scale school projects, completing the technical specifications for refurbishments, roof replacements, internal reorganisations and general expansions, as well as providing general policy advice to clients around safeguarding/fire works upgrades.
Qusain has completed multiple planned maintenance, pre-acquisition and condition surveys, as well as specific condition surveys for the Department for Education (DFE) and the Police (National Police Estate Guidance NPEG) – which included failure severity risk indication.
A driven, persistent person with sharp technical detailing skills, Qusain believes good communication is based on respect. He works effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients at all levels to ensure a job is completed for the mutual interest of all parties involved.
